Can we really know God in a meaningful way? The Sunday school answer says YES but how about you and me – can we honestly say we know God? Where do we find out about Him in the deeper and more accurate up-close and personal sense?
We can know Him – He wants to be known. The Scriptures are packed with invitations to come and see, to cry and hear, to be still and know, to rest and experience God and His love. To know God better we must know Jesus better. The Gospels are great snap shots and instant replays of God and His signatures to “love on us.” To know Jesus better we spend time learning about Him and His ways. Yes, it takes time and effort, but the indescribable thing is that He responds and blesses in divine ways (I’d love to describe and talk it over with you – just lemmeknow).
Our T Bar M motto is “Christ-Centered Adventure.” This directs us to seek and find Him in our everyday situations and circumstances. Let’s ask ourselves- what is He showing about Himself to us? (to love, to serve, to strengthen, to gain wisdom, etc). This focus allows us to center our responses to choose JOY, grow and serve with a genuine heart and to love others well.
In John 10:10 Jesus tells us that He (Jesus) came to give us life and life to the FULL. Join in with us here at Camp as together we get to know Him and love Him. That is why we invest in our campers and staff through Bible studies, devotions, and various activities so that we can know Him and make Him known.
Finally, the Bible is quite clear that one day we all will see Him face to face and that it will make a difference in our relationship here on earth. We were created to commune with God – and it’s a “get to” rather than a “have to” which we discover in the Bible.
