Hill Country bluebonnets are everywhere in New Braunfels and the birds are singing in full volume here at Camp. All creation is bouncing back from a dormant winter with fresh blossoms and new shades of green; representing new beginnings, fresh starts, and accents of God's beauty. So it’s time…what time? It's time for you and me to spring up, shine, and sing with joy for new beginnings.
Spring has a way of mixing lots of emotions, some of which are relaxation, great smells and warm sleepy naps on a fresh lawn. Others may feel some strange emotions that usually hit after Spring Break-- like alarm or anxiety that school is quickly coming to a close and for me Camp is just around the corner so…joy/urgency/smiles and panic become our cycles. Spring stress can be good; it builds anticipation and prioritizes our days. Here at T Bar M we count it a privilege to "lean in" and "love on" our Camp families.
Matthew 6:27-29 reminds us that our God is aware of our needs and that He provides and shows His faithfulness both to us and through us. So this day, April 1st -- no fool'n, let's pause and thank God for the accents of spring. By the way, some great "fool" reminders in the Bible are Psalm 14:1-4; Luke 12:19-21; 1 Corinthians 4:10.
This week is also Easter so, let's make a conscious choice to have a resurrection attitude all year long, everyday and in every way. Take in the sights, sounds and smells of this very blessed spring.
Blessed Easter friend, rejoice…He is risen, He is alive and He lives in the lives of His followers. Wow, incredible, Amazing Grace--how sweet the sound. Family Matters, yes it does and thanks to our resurrected Lord we are a part of God's family.

Yes, Spring is here. Vic and I enjoyed the blue bonnets on our trip home Sunday and there are two houses on Elmwood right next door to each other who have planted big patches of blue bonnets. Beautiful! Just as our Lord arose from the tomb, Spring brings all kinds of things springing from the ground to remind us that God "created" the seasons and signs of them. How nice it would be if all people would assimilate it (Yes, our saying "people" is biblical, just look at Psalm 105, it doesn't say ya'll). Have a blessed day. Your ever loving mother-in-law.
