Tonight, yes tonight, is a big stage for all of the NFL. Cities, franchises, and universities will richly crown (draft) their new champions and warriors and of the many selected there are at least three quarterbacks that have clearly demonstrated their godly behavior on and off the fields throughout their college play; Colt McCoy, Tim Tebow and Sam Bradford. Tonight and the next two days will be exciting for them and their families to see where God will take them for continued godly influenced. Lord, use them mightily.
We, the T Bar M family, strive to also be “champions and warriors” for Christ in the everyday places of life. In the everyday places godly behavior makes a lasting impact. How…through the impact of serving others and sharing in the tragedies and triumphs of life. John 13:35 “by this all men will know that you are my disciples if you – love one another.” Here’s where the “rubber meets the road”: The way we live along side each other validates God’s universal love and grace.
T Bar M Sports Camp has had the honor to demonstrate godly behavior to those who have recently suffered great pain and loss. These recipients have responded with love and respect expressing deep appreciation. On January 12, 2010 in 15 seconds the Haitian National Soccer Federation lost 34 teammates, coaches, officials and referees. The deep pain of losing families, wives, and homes...everything can clearly be seen in their eyes and body language. (April 14 –May 1) to play Argentina on May 5th.
The Haitian National Soccer Team is here at Camp training (April 14 - May 1) to play Argentina on May 5th. We have been very clear about our motivation and purpose for hosting them. First, it’s the right thing to do. Secondly, we want them to know that we (the T Bar M Family) truly care and believe in them. Third, this is the embodiment of “loving God and others.”
We pray daily with the team (20 athletes, 5 staff) and have shared Isaiah 52:6-10, given them an Evange-ball (soccer ball w/ black, red, white, green, yellow panels) clearly explaining the gospel. It is the godly behavior that God has used to unify and strengthen the message. Peter, one of the professional athletes interrupted a team supper and said tenderly … “Thank you … no one has ever treated us like this … no one has ever been so kind … no one has ever loved us like this.” Godly behavior is the evidence of His great universal love and grace. May our eyes and our godly behavior reflect Him in all that we say and do … God’s love has no barriers and restores life! What a privilege---what a responsibility!
