Summer is here! - Part 2

Summer 2010 is here and at T Bar M Camps we have plenty for which to cheer!  All year long we plan and pray for these days – days where campers and staff come to strengthen their spiritual lives and legs to keep running the race set before them.

Hebrews 12:1-3 reminds us-- “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

Camp has a great way of helping us lay aside the things in our daily routines that so easily entangle us.  Camp provides a unique environment of fresh starts/ new beginnings with old and new friends, exhilarating activities, and new adventures and discoveries.

Camp is not a “Christian bubble” though it is an intentional environment designed to reinforce keeping our eyes on what really matters – Jesus.  Our privilege of providing Christ-centered Adventure has a really big BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) of “sending every camper and staff out of our gates knowing that he or she is HIS Beloved, and then walking as salt and light with their own L252 (Luke 2:52)  story to tell.

Today, yes today, and over these next weeks may we count on your prayers for our Camp--- for God’s presence to be ever so clear in all that we say and do. Please join us in our petitions for safety, salvation and memory making moments.

Our summer theme is UNITAS (Latin - Unite, Unity) with the focus and power of ONE – a community of Christ-followers that live life with a passionate purpose of “Loving God and loving others” well.  Thanks so much and Lord Jesus, UNITAS through your power, love and grace. Amen!  I’m so glad Camp is here.

WOW. Love receiving the emails. I am praying for all of your staff and for the campers - that they will indeed feel and see, and know God's presence and be willing to turn their hearts toward the Lord and lead lives of loving God and loving others. I am thrilled that my son has the opportunity to attend camp this summer. Thanks for all you are doing and have done to prepare for camp this summer.

I'm praying for your wonderful camp and prayerful counselors and that children's hearts will be changed for Christ. I'm so thankful for what you have done in the lives of my children in the past and I know Chelsea will miss being a ropes counselor this summer! She loves every minute she can spend with you guys! God Bless You! Kim
