Your Family Matters!

Welcome to the second year of Family Matters! We are glad you are part of this growing community of families that seek to live out biblical principles in your home. 
 
What is Family Matters? It is a family-focused devotional series hosted and offered by T Bar M Camps.   Each Monday the devotional is written by Dudley Callison. Dudley is a licensed professional counselor, minister, and pastoral voice for camp. Every Thursday the devotional comes to you straight from the heart of camp’s very own Johnny Polk. Johnny has served T Bar M camps for 23 years as  Director of Camps, and is truly the biggest kid in camp. 
 
The Family Matters topics follow a basic pattern each month based on the 4-fold ways of growing we see in Luke 2:52, which says that Jesus grew in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and man. Our topics come from surveys we received from you – parents who want to provide a home environment where their children can grow up like Jesus. 
 
This year we will be addressing some challenging themes. By way of preview, here is what you can expect from Family Matters this year:
 

• Wisdom topics – Materialism, media influences, insecurity, sexuality, pride, and maintaining a healthy perspective on the future. 
• Stature topics – Appearance, eating issues, drugs, stress, and dealing with the pressure to succeed. 
• Relationship with God topics – Faith questions, personal value, suicide, and the desire for instant gratification.
• Relationship with Others topics – Cliques, respect, bullying, abuse, and social status.
