Welcome to Family Matters - year two (count’em 1,2) for T Bar M Family Matters; a bi-weekly e-devo written for the entire family. First, this is one of the many ways we at Camp attempt to support you in the HIGH CALLING of FAMILY as both parents and as campers. The bulk of the devotional is aimed at you, the parent, as a tool for your tool box of parenting. The “Campers Corner” represents a charge for our campers on the subject of the week.

Our topics come from parent surveys and from our college staff.  We took their input on family issues and good ol’ family discussion on relevant topics that are out there bombarding the family... especially the tough topics that invade our homes, schools and churches.

Our foundational scripture that guides our monthly focus comes from Luke 2:52 that we call L252, “and Jesus grew in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man.” These four areas are a part of the T Bar M core values and fiber in our program development for our entire camp family.

Monday’s approach is more of a biblical counseling template and Thursday’s atmosphere is what we call “campy”, or how T Bar M’s Christ-centered Adventure would approach the topic, issue and opportunity at hand.

How are we as families growing in each of the four areas …wisdom, stature (healthy living), favor with God and man? Our development must be intentional in all four areas, and as Christ-followers we need to be balanced and biblical; we are not talking about behavioral modification rather heart transformation.

Are you out of whack or alignment in one area? If so (and if not!), join us in Family Matters weekly because FAMILY does MATTER!

Camper Corner: You remember L252 from camp; it’s everywhere. You see and hear it in all that we do at camp. DO NOT get caught just playing church or doing social Jesus jumping jacks. Instead really pray and ask God to make you the MAC (Man after Christ) and the WOG (Woman of God) that is a person of impact.

Be someone who genuinely knows and loves God in a way that is indisputable. How great it would be that friends, family, teammates and others actually see the great moves of Jesus Christ in you and through you by the way you “Love God and love others!”
