“Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, tomorrow, you’re only a day away!”, sung by Annie captures our infatuation with hopes for tomorrow. Unfortunately too often we also worry about tomorrow. How we face our today determines how we’ll face our tomorrows.
My primary thought is the idea, “How big is our God?” A small view of God will bring overwhelming anxieties about tomorrow that often immobilize us. In contrast, the proper view is … a large view of God which allows us to face the largest mountains of uncertainty with confidence.
Facing these “large mountains” of tomorrow such as disappointments, depression, delusion and even death can become mole hills when we have this correct view of God. The best view of God is taken through understanding His character and purposes. Take comfort in Psalm 33 and 34 and know that even though our today and tomorrow are always changing there is one consistent – Jesus Christ… as declared in Hebrews 13:7-9.
An attitude of “Don’t worry, be happy” is not faith in action. Faith in action is active. When we say we “walk by faith and not by sight” we can substitute the word “live” for “walk.” Let’s live today in God’s fullest gift and rest in God’s best for tomorrow. Other strong words parallel to faith are trust, rely, lean and believe which all bring “Christ-fidence” (ya know, versus “confidence”) into our today and tomorrows. Read Isaiah 40 to embrace more of God and His character.

As a grandparent, you cannot realize how grateful we are that our daughter and her husband have chosen your quality camp for Merritt. It will be and has been a life experience that someday she can pass to her own children. As we see life in today's world it is sadly noted that parents are not responding to the real needs of their offspring. Sincerely, Larry and Charlotte Thomas
